French private sector output rises for second successive month
Posted on 01:36 by nice news
The latest flash France PMI®
data signalled a rise in
private sector output for the second month running
during March. That said, the rate of growth eased
since February and was modest overall. The
seasonally adjusted Markit Flash France
Composite Output Index, based on around 85%
of normal monthly survey replies, posted 51.7,
down from Februarys three-and-a-half year high of
52.2.
As was the case in the previous survey period,
activity growth in the service sector offset a further
drop in manufacturing output. The rate of
expansion in services activity was solid, albeit
slightly slower than in February. Manufacturers
meanwhile registered a similarly sharp reduction in
output compared with one month previously.
